Please help Pickering Associates and the Russ College of Engineering and Technology to support engineering education in Southeastern Ohio.

 

Engineers Frostbite 5K Scholarships

The Engineers Frostbite 5K and all of its partners will dedicate proceeds to three (3) $1,000 scholarships for high school students entering the Russ College at Ohio University.  Eligibility is as follows:

• Graduating high school senior, having attended high school in schools within the Southeastern Ohio/Appalachian region.
• Minimum 3.0 high school GPA, maintain 3.0 GPA during freshman year at Ohio University.
• Accepted to Russ College of Engineering
• Submit single page statement/essay related to engineering. Topic to be determined.
• Must remain in Russ College entire freshman year at Ohio University (funds to be awarded over freshman year).

Support High School Engineering Education

A portion of the proceeds also will be dedicated to supporting the drafting program at Tri-County Career Center, a high-school level vocational school for students in Athens, Hocking and Perry counties. The drafting program prepares students to enter careers in drafting in a variety of engineering environments. Funds will assist in purchasing much needed software and technology to help students keep up to speed with the latest tools available.
